9th Annual Healthy Baby Fair & Family Expo

9th Annual Health Baby and Family Expo

Presented by the Healthy Homes & Lead Poisoning Prevention Program

2011 began with the announcement of the new Summit County Combined General Health District, which now serves all jurisdictions in the County.  Our program expanded to the Healthy Homes & Lead Poisoning Prevention Program.

The Healthy Baby Fair and its mission will continue.  With the underlying theme of “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”, the event mission is to provide expectant and new parents of infant and toddlers up to age 5 years with information about maternal and child health, healthy homes, safety, and development – including information about related programs, services, and businesses through interactive visual displays and hands-on activities.

2010 featured over 100 exhibitors and free activities e.g. Trick-or-Treat at Safety Village, digital fingerprinting, make-it & take-it kids crafts, fluoride varnish applications; major community sponsors; News Channel 5 and Western Reserve PBS media partners; Get Fit Family Stage with the “Go Active with Ronald McDonald Show”, baby crawling races, and Zumba demonstrations; 1st Annual Career Pavilion; and, exhibitors focusing on prenatal, postpartum, infant and early childhood concerns.

Plan to introduce your program, product or services to expectant and new families at this year’s event.
